Connection/ Not For Sale/ Made in Masterclass/ Large White Plaster Statue/Heads On Convex Shape With Mirror/ Rainbow Scarf/ 60 cm

This large plaster sculpture was made during the Masterclass at Marjo Wiltink in 2020 The concept for this image arose from a meditation. The heads represent the connection with the different people in my environment. Near or far & even near & far for my girlfriend in Norway. The transition from large to small, from front to back gives a dynamic whole. The convex shape must be able to stand & be balanced with stones on the inside. It now stands firmly on an old charcole burner. The mirror in the middle provides the self-reflection. The rainbow scarf gives a colorful effect & also stands for connection. When making this artwork, the intention was to go outside my comfort zone. So it was big & made of plaster, a material with which I had no experience at all. Working with plaster is not worth repeating. A lot has gone wrong. It has been hanging in the garage for 2 years. Painting it with white lacquer to make it waterproof was a gamble. Due to its size, it is not possible to put the artwork inside. It is on the terrace The image is not for sale. It goes under the influence of the weather.
