Large Ceramic Oak Leaf Original Wall Art White & Gold Porcelain Sculptures - 15

Titled Falling Leaves, this handmade ceramic artwork is made up of of 15 oak leaf wall art sculptures. Contemporary & abstract in feel, they bring a simple versatile design that can be easily adapted to a wide range of locations, even tricky spaces, such as irregular wall shapes, large rooms & curved walls. Oak trees symbolise wisdom, strength & good fortune. Much of my work is inspired by nature, to bring the beauty of the outdoors inside our everyday spaces & help us to feel connected to that in the small moments of our lives. The leaves are finished in plain white, some are natural matt porcelain, some with a tactile clear glossy glaze & some in a rich metallic gold. All the pieces were formed from beautiful high-fired ceramic, so they're great art for kitchens & bathrooms as well as living spaces & bedroom art. The largest measures approx 13.5cm & the smallest approx 10cm (approx 4 inches & 5.5 inches) & they stand approx 3 - 5 cm from the wall. Arranged as pictured in the first image, this set takes up a space approximately 110cm x 90cm (around 43 wide x 35 high). I aimed with this set to make the leaves look like they are floating in on a breeze & imitate how mother nature would have gently blown them through the air. With that in mind, some of the porcelain pieces are sculpted to be curved, & some edges of the leaves were turned up right whilst some are bent down to help create that sense of natural movement. Of course, they can be arranged in a variety of ways & it's easy & fun to do. If you are unsure of how to position them, then I recommend either using post it notes or cutting pieces of paper to the same sizes as the leaves & using poster putty to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, & take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with. Alternatively, get in touch to ask about our design service! Each piece has 2 keyhole style fittings or similar, making them easy to hang on flat headed nails or screws in your wall.
