Ceramic House Sculpture With The Word Home & A Tiny Metal Key

This is a mixed clay rustic house, made as if it was an old one. I used recycled clay from my studio, which gives it a wonderful texture & shades. I love looking at old buildings, find their individual character & make up a story of who might live in them. This one is inspired by the old city of Akko, where there's so much history inside of it small stone houses. I walk in the narrow streets & imagine the crusaders march through, I look at the great wall & think of Napoleon D'Bonaparte trying to concur the city & fails. I see the fisherman & know their ancestors were here before them, struggling with the sea during summer & winter. The city was neglected for some years & now it is starting to bloom & all it's beauty comes out as a wonderful surprise peeps out of a treasury box!
