This is a ceramic art piece, a one of a kind hand made small art sculpture. I made the little miniatures with different kinds of clay, painted just a little with bright shiny glazes & ceramic colors & fired them before gluing the different parts onto this lovely Mediterranean beach stone which I found at the beach of Haifa. The boat is tied to shore with a metal chain. All together makes it a whole beautiful scene of a village on a small island, somewhere in the world. These kind of pieces makes me smile as I make it. I see home & love in it, safety of the light on top of the lighthouse (showing the way home to those on their way or far at sea). I see belonging in it & longing too. This is the greatest gift for a loved one, someone close to heart but far away in real life, someone who leave a home or a place of work after many years.
