The interior is glazed in warm earthy tones - brown, beige, & a touch of salmon pink - with a painterly, organic flow. The unique dripping effect was achieved through multiple firings, allowing the glazes to melt & blend naturally in the heat of live flame. The lampshade is open at the bottom & casts a soft, downward light. It comes with a light fixture for E27 bulbs (compatible with standard E26 bulbs used in the USA). Handmade & hand-painted. Signed. Each piece is hand-formed without a potter's wheel, dried, then fired in a gas kiln. The glaze was applied in several layers, & the lamp was fired multiple times to create its deep textures & organic dripping effects. The final firing at approx. 1000oC (1832oF) gives every lamp a distinctive look with subtle crackles & earthy irregularities.
