Pattern Caterpillar Crochet Blanket Pattern

THIS LISTING IS FOR A PATTERN, NOT THE FINISHED PRODUCT This fun & Springy blanket is incredibly quick to make up & can be easily amended to suit your preference. Endless combinations of green shades, facial features, antennae & feet shapes can be played with to make every blanket unique & truly one of a kind. Perhaps a different background from white? I advise against changing the caterpillar to pink though - I tried it & it turns out like a worm!! Perhaps a name stitched into an unused corner to personalise? Finished blanket is pram/cot size (approx. 26 wide by 32 long, but this can depend on the yarn) Crochet stitches (US terms) include single crochet (sc), double crochet (dc), half double crochet (hdc) & a special shell stitch (described). Blanket & caterpillar are mostly made holding two strands of DK together - this can take some getting used to but if you like fast results, it's worth the short effort. Requirements include white DK yarn (UK based so check a different country equivalent); as wide a selection of green DK yarns as possible plus at least one in chunky yarn (but only a small amount needed, e.g. 10g) - I stick to about 6 or 7 different shades; small amount of black DK yarn; size 5mm & 9mm hooks; tapestry needle. Please note the main picture used (my favourite) has simple straight feelers on the head - pattern shows how to make lollipop shaped feelers, but of course you can copy the main picture if you prefer.
