Another stunning edition to our theme: The Great Steampunk Airship Race. This 2nd concept airship art model by Steampunk design artist, T. Vincent Smith, is absolutely breath-taking! Highly detailed with a completely original design from the imagination of the artist. Christened the royal naval airship Stormcrow & bearing the colors of the flag of Transylvania (prior to 1918). The airship has been painstakingly assembled from a variety of materials - modern to antique. Wear & staining along with texture & shading have been applied to the airship to present the appearance of age, weathering, & even repair. Close inspection will reveal fascinating details such as the fine texture of the floats, the blackened tips of the smokestack, & the curious windowed turret underneath. The airship is mounted on a post & can be removed for transport. It is housed inside an archaic style glass cloche with a point-welded metal base fabricated of steel alloy sheet metal. The central stage under the glass is framed with a cast resin porthole frame that has also been distressed & accented with age-marks. An exhibit sign has been designed by the artist to be optionally displayed with the airship. It has been designed to create the same sense of antiquity & is an intriguing addition to the display as a whole. The entire display with glass dome covering it stands approximately 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall & has a footprint diameter of approximately 8.5 inches (22 cm). The airship itself measures approximately 6 inches (15 cm) across & 3.5 inches (8.9 cm) tall. One-of-a-kind artwork that feeds the imagination & inspires fun flights of Neo-Victorian fancy.
