Can have a small smell of sheep, but you can ventilate it outdoors in the fresh air, & the smell could disappear in less than a month. The natural wool blanket you will be using for a lot of years, & I'm quite sure, that your family members would not share it with each other. Firstly we had one big woolen blanket, which I bought for myself. as I didn't know that my husband & kids will love it too (because they had their colorful & not woolen, but very soft too blankets). So now we have total 4 huge woolen throws....and i don't think that it is the end These wool kids' blankets are natural wool color, which means, that fully uncolored, & have the best wool features.
