Elements - Assemblage With Stone

Fire is the candle in glass. The feather is Air, the beautiful green geode slice is Earth, & the scallop shell from a Carolina beach is Water. A black slate base is fitted for hanging on the wall. My sister is also an artist. One day, she invited me to join her in submitting work to her gallery as part of an auction benefit. I made a little assemblage, seeking to capture the four elements using stone & other small bits & objects we both love collecting & using in our work. I titled the piece 'Elements' & sent it off to the auction. Afterwards I kept finding more & more little bits & object that kept reminding me of that piece, so I decided to use them to make a little series. This is the second of three.
