stalking Heron Limited Edition Concrete Wall Sculpture

Hand cast & color stained concrete triptych bas relief sculpture. A great blue heron hunts in shallow water. These birds have a primitive, predatory look to them. A heron in flight conjures up images of Jurassic Park for me. I've tried to put some of that into this sculpture. Three 8 inch x 8 inch panels From my original clay sculpture, I create a mold . Into this mold I cast fine concrete. The concrete tiles are then stained with concrete dyes & an acrylic concrete sealer applied. A low edition, fine art piece, which can be custom colored. This concrete is a fantastic material . It's incredibly strong & relatively light weight. Each tile weighs less than two pounds. It is a high relief sculpture though. You may want to consider placement if cleaning is going to be an issue. This piece could be tiled into a wall as an amazing back splash, water feature, fire place or mantle decor ,or, of course displayed as a stand alone art object .
