Ivory Flow began as a quiet moment a slow, intuitive dialogue with a single block of solid walnut. I don't work from templates or sketches. Every curve, every opening appeared over time, guided by the rhythm & energy of the wood. I carved this piece entirely by hand, working in the noise of the workshop yet with focused presence. The scent of walnut, the warmth of the tools, & the texture under my fingertips are as much a part of the process as the form itself. I don't carve wood. I carve what I feel & the wood responds. This tall abstract wood sculpture holds both movement & stillness. A sequence of organic openings rises through the entire form not as decoration, but as structure. Each aperture is different in size & angle, creating a rhythm that changes as you move around it. From one side, the form feels open & almost transparent. From another, it becomes a single continuous flow. The fluid lines remind me of breath, waves, growth elements that ground us without demanding to be seen. The surface moves from creamy highlights into deeper brown undulations, finished with natural Osmo matte wax to preserve its soft touch & bring out the full depth of the walnut's color. At 74 cm tall, it has the presence of a vertical architectural element yet it remains entirely organic, entirely hand-made, entirely unrepeatable. This is not a decoration.
