Safari Pallows - Animal Pillows

This is for a .pdf pattern. This is NOT for the finished product. You get the pattern, & then make them yourself! The pattern is for a hippopotamus, giraffe, crocodile, & lion pillow. The measurements depend on the type of yarn you choose. Mine came out as follows: Lion: 8 L x 9 W (including the ruffle/mane) Giraffe: 11 L x 7 W (widest part at eyes) Hippo: 10 L x 10 W (widest part at cheeks) Crocodile/Gator: 8.5 L x 16 W (longest part at eyes) Materials you will need: Polyfiber fill (or stuffing of your choice) 3.25mm (size D) crochet hook Yarn needle Aran/worsted weight (like Red Heart Super Saver or I Love This Yarn!) yarn in the colors of your choice for the animals of your choice What you'll need to know: MR - magic ring Ch - chain Sl st - slip stitch Sc - single crochet Dc - double crochet TC - triple/treble crochet 2sc, 3sc - 2sc, 3sc in one stitch (increase) Sc2tog, sc3tog - sc two stitches together, sc three stitches together (decrease) Sk - skip stitch (you'll leave it unworked) TO - tie off/fasten off How to sc an edge onto a piece (you work into the end of every row) Basic embroidery (for nostrils, mouths) I would call this advanced beginner/low intermediate, due to having to sew seams using a sc stitch. It requires some assembly, which can be difficult for those that are brand new to the craf of crochet. :) This pattern has been tested for errors, & is easy to follow.
