Asian Themed Pillows, Man -Woman Vintage Graphic Fabric Pillow

These pillows are made from vintage handkerchiefs purchased several years ago in Savannah, Georgia from an antiques dealer. The hardest part about making these pillows was overcoming my anxiety of cutting into vintage fabric. The placement of the design meant that most of the handkerchief would have to be cut away. The design or motif portions are machine appliqued on vibrant orange fabrics using a zigzag stitch. These pillows consists of narrow green borders & wide borders in an Asian inspired fabric. The back of the pillows feature the Chinese characters for man & woman with the hand beaded coordinating words. (raw edge applique) These pillows are sold as a pair & measure 10 inches by 10 inches.
