Art quilt, Arrangement in Red: I made this wall quilt in 2003 using featured fabric of cherries & cherry blossoms in an arrangement in a silver lame' bowl. The arrangement includes apples, cherries, cherry blossoms, leaves & metallic red thread that sparkles. There are curlie cues in red throughout the arrangement. The bowl is shaded & highlighted in black thread emphasizing the shape of the bowl. The border & binding is made from the focus fabric used in the arrangement. This quilt traveled in an exhibit & the label & pin are included with the purchase of the quilt. This quilt is very dramatic with the black background contrasting with the sparkly red & the light table cloth. It is machine quilted in a wavy line diagonally across the quilt which adds another dimension of interest. This quilt may be shaken to remove dust, or gently brush over it with a clean terry cloth.
