The sculpture Large Winter Seed belongs to a series of related forms that deal with the themes of seed & egg, embryo & germ, navel & folds, skull & capsules, dream & sleep, etc. An illustration shows several of these pieces together in the so-called Seminarium. Presentation: Place this sculpture on the soft felt base in a slightly elevated position. Moderate light from the side will accentuate the shape. A white or generally too bright background is not recommended. Enable touch: The large, smooth shape is enlivened by the small depression on the top - a haptic sensation. Height: 18 cm, Width: 25 cm Length: 25cm Weight: approx. 16.5 kg important NOTE: - Jena Alabaster is not suitable for outdoor installation - rainwater attacks the surface & destroys the structure over time. - Protect from heat above 100oC - no heat stone; do not place in or on the oven: Alabaster sweats out crystal water at high temperatures & changes to the unslaked state (hydraulic gypsum).
