Handmade Ceramic Shabbat Set Candlesticks, Goblet, Pomegranate, Wood & Soda Fired

Set of two candlesticks, pomegranate & goblet to make a beautiful Shabbat set. Blue slip on stems, top & feet are grey soda. Shino glaze inside the candlestick cups for easy washing. The 3 inch pomegranate & 3.8 inch goblet compliment nicely. Soda firing is an atmospheric firing method, where the glaze is made in the firing process. For the last few hours of the firing, I spray a solution of soda ash & water into the fire box, which is carried through the kiln with the flames; vaporizing & bonding with the silica in the clay body & colored slips. This creates the unique glaze buildup over the surface, resulting in every single piece being one of a kind & unrepeatable.
