Head of a woman, alabaster (rare pink variety) Year of origin: 2008 Head of a woman belongs to a series of related forms that deal with the themes of seed & egg, embryo & seedling, navel & folds, skull & capsules, dream & sleep, etc. An illustration shows several of these pieces in a synopsis in the so-called Seminarium. This sculpture is handmade from Jena alabaster. The polished surface invites you to intense touch - a flatterer of the hand. Placement on a soft, discreetly monochrome surface increases the visual effect. A raised installation on a free-standing base is recommended. A hole on the underside allows installation on a bar.
