Trillium Flower Ceramic Wall Art. Trivet

This ceramic art botanical tile featuring the Trillium Flower can be hung decoratively on the wall or used as a trivet for things fresh out of the oven. It can also be used to cut & serve foods such as cheese. in the language of flowers the Trillium represents modesty in beauty or ambition. Trillium is a woodland wild flower that has a very short growing season. It flowers during the early spring in Vermont so it is very exciting when it blooms after the long Vermont winter. I love how it grows in three sets of three: three base leaves, three petals, & three leaves behind the petals. I made this piece by pressing the fresh trillium flower into stoneware clay & painting the tile with food safe glazes. Because I use an actual flower in the making of this piece, each one is a just a bit different but is as equally lovely than the next. The hanging cord is made from natural hemp.
