Needlepoint Cushion Hand Stitched New Tapestry Pillow Victorian Cottage

A beautiful new, handmade cushion featuring a beautiful hand stitched needlepoint tapestry. The tapestry is hand stitched on 12 point cotton canvas in 100% pure new wool. The design is adapted from an 1870s Berlin Woolwork pattern. It features a bouquet of violet hydrangeas & white snow drops on a background of lush foliage. I have added a Victorian border & traditional intarsia counted motifs in bright white. The colors are vibrant & bright adding a playful storybook feel to the victorian pattern. This piece is completely unique & represents many hours of work. Each color has been individually chosen & matched. The tapestry is overall very neatly stitched but there may be a few skipped stitches here & there. The cushion is backed with SILK velvet in a lovely creamy champagne. The cushion contains a brand new down feather insert. The insert is slightly oversized for a plump, well shaped 'elegant' cushion. There is a hidden zippered closure for your convenience. Measures: 15 x 15 As many of my items are made using antique, vintage & repurposed materials they may show some signs of their former lives.
