FEW, founded by Frank Ernest Waller, was a British motor cycle manufacturer based in Langham Essex in the 1920s. During the 1930s Waller transitioned the business into garage equipment under the name Autax, producing tools & lighting until the end of the 1950s. These lamps feature very robust friction joints fitted 'T' bar tension bolts that still work perfectly to this day. This unusual example features tubular clamps at the base & shade mount that can be locked in place by tightening the two off 2BA screws in each clamp. We have mounted the original angle bracket base to a heavier circular felt lined steel plate so it can be used as a portable desk lamp. The lamp has been broken down to component parts & thoroughly cleaned before reassembly & rewire with new vintage style 3 core flex. The two lower arms are 23cm long, the 3rd arm is 20cm long & the shade opening is 10cm diameter. It comes PAT tested complete with bulb. Few cmc Autax Vintage Workshop Lamp
