This is very likely the sculpture which was exhibited by Augustin Pajou, a French sculptor (19 September 1730, Paris - 8 May 1809), in the Salon of 1761 (livret entry No. 139) as 'Tte de Vieillard', head of an old man. It is now located at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London. This reproduction is carved from a solid block of the finest Greek marble.
