Mrs. Northern Cardinal, Needle Felted Bird Art Fiber Sculpture

The female northern cardinal is one of the few north american female songbirds that sing! She sings most often while sitting on the nest which may give the male information about when to bring food to the nest. She is needle felted from sheep's wool. Needle felting is a time consuming process where wool is repeatedly poked by a single barbed needle until the desired shape is formed. Great care has been taken to accurately depict her markings, size & colors. She stands on sturdy wire feet & is life size at 7.5 inches in length & has black glass eyes. Mrs. Cardinal would love to sit on your windowsill or given as a gift to one of your bird loving friends! Also available is her husband or you could also purchase the pair! Your bird is custom made once you place your order. I usually ship your order within 2-3 weeks of payment, but it depends on how many orders I have.
