Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat is an innovative water-based primer and undercoat ideal for interior wood & metal, trusted by professional decorators and DIYers. It has excellent adhesion to previously painted surfaces and most porous substrates, making it the perfect foundation for high-performance finishes. When used over bare timber, it prevents resins from staining through into the finish, ensuring a flawless final result. It acts as the perfect undercoat to Johnstone's Trade Aqua Guard Gloss, Satin or Matt finishes with excellent opacity and adhesion. Covering approximately 13m² per litre depending on surface texture and porosity, it offers solid performance on doors, skirting boards, window frames and all interior woodwork & metalwork. Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4-6 hours, so you can complete your project efficiently. With a water-based formula and low VOC content, it's a kinder choice for occupied rooms.
