Or I can personalise it by adding a short message or illustration, which is perfect for gifts & anniversaries - see more here: https://etsy.me/3tn90qw. Get in touch if you want to discuss an unusual or complex personalisation. I have personalised thousands of maps over the years - I can almost certainly help you. Intro Established in 1984, the Unique Maps Co. sources the world's finest & rarest old maps from libraries & private collections around the world. I restore the maps in my workshop & then reproduce, customise & frame them to suit my customers' needs. I guarantee that you cannot find higher quality maps anywhere else. About this map This rather unique map of the United States of America, originally published by Ernest Dudley Chase in 1949, features dozens of highly detailed illustrations of postage stamps, mostly from the 1930s & 1940s. Most of the stamps are placed near the location that is featured on the stamp, such as the capitol building of Idaho or Yosemite National Park in northern California. There are also a few groupings, such as all the presidential stamps, & some other notable stamps around the map's edges. Ernest Dudley Chase, who would eventually become one of the most prolific & popular pictorial map makers, originally started his careers as a graphic artist. He didn't start making maps until fairly late in his life, but as you can see, he had a real passion for creating humorous, interesting & incredibly detailed maps. He mostly focused on the US, though he also made a few world maps, & even a few maps made of postage stamps! This map looks great at all sizes: 12x18 inches & 24x36 inches (61x91.5cm), but it looks even better when printed large. I can create beautiful, large prints of this map up to 130 inches (330cm).
