The piece is completed with an organically formed bead that can be a color accent or add to the sculptural quality. White, glossy glaze on the inside is used for maximum brightness. My hanging lamps are slip cast in clay, glazed & fired with careful attention to detail at my studio in Seattle. The original shapes are created by hand using the coil & pinch technique. This gives them a softly dimpled surface that reflects light in a pleasing way. Raised white stripes are individually applied. Made by hand, they have unique character & lasting beauty.
