Handmade Blue & White Ceramic Soap Dish Coastal Farmhouse Bathroom Accessory

This handmade & handpainted soap dish will make a lovely addition to any bathroom, kitchen or laundry room. Its fresh blue & white design has a both a coastal & rustic appeal. Holes allow water to drain away, keeping your soap dry & clean & 4 little feet keep the dish raised above any wet surfaces. Each soap dish is handmade & individual. There may be slight variations in shape & dimensions. They are designed to be small enough to sit on the side of a basin whilst comfortably holding a standard sized bar of soap. They measure appropriately 12cm length by 10cm width. The dish is made from terracotta clay which, is initially moulded around a large pebble from the beach. It is then gently smoothed to soften & round the edges & it's four feet fastened to the base. As the clay starts to dry & harden, the holes are drilled. After being left to dry slowly & thoroughly (ideally, I like to give it a week to dry properly), it is bisque fired & later glazed with a traditional majolica-style Tin white glaze & hand painted with blue Cobalt oxide. It then heads back to the kiln for a second firing. Every Shoreline Ceramics item is made to be unique & is carefully hand crafted & painted. Glaze density, depth of colour & design will vary slightly from piece to piece.
