The acrylic & oak wood is 3mm thick & mounted to 6mm wood to give a more 3d effect. The edges of the wood are dark, please see listing photos for example. Oak wood & MDF are 6mm thick & can be painted to a colour of your choice. Acrylic finish is matt.
