Classic Maps & Prints - We are a small business who specialise in producing exceptional quality reproduction maps & prints from centuries past. in our studio we digitally clean these masterpieces in order to remove blemishes & certain signs of ageing but strive keep the look, feel & integrity of the original. All of our prints are produced on a high-end Canon Large Format printer which uses 12 inks to give the best colour reproduction & excellent print clarity in a range of popular frame-ready formats. We use Museum grade archival matt heavyweight paper 230gsm & original manufacturers pigment inks to produce prints that will last for many decades. Description Bentleys at Le Mans, 1929 - celebrating the wins by the British car manufacturer Bentley Motors at the 24 Heures du Mans endurance car race in June 1929. Dynamic painting by the notable British artist Terence Tenison Cuneo (1907-1996) depicting the Bentley 4 Litre car (No. 10) driven by British driver Dudley Benjafield (1897-1957) & French driver Andre d'Erlanger refuelling their 4 Litre car as mechanics look on from the side, the Bentley car (No. 9) speeding past the pits on the other side in front of spectators with flags flying overhead & more cars in the background. The 1929 Le Mans race was won by the following Bentley racing car drivers - known as the Bentley Boys - 1st place: Woolf Barnato (1895-1948) & Tim Birkin (1896-1933) in a Bentley Speed 6 car (No.1); 2nd place: Jack Dunfee (1901-1975) & Glen Kidston (1891-1931) in a Bentley 4 Litre car (No. 9); also taking 3rd place (No. 10) & 4th place (No. 8).
