For knitting baby blankets for the smallest ones we use only extra-fine merino wool 18,5 microns. The merino wool, especially of such high quality, is absolutely safe to your newborn, hypoallergenic, will keep your children warm, dry & happy. The blanket is not itchy at all. Available in 70 colors & 8 blanket designs! COLOR: Available in a stunning palette of 70 colors. The dyeing complies with Oeko-Tex Standard 100 & is done in a dyeing house in Italy which is GOTS 5.0 & GRS certified. DESIGN: To create an absolutely unique item you have an opportunity to choose the knitting stitch for your baby blanket yourself. We offer the choice of 7 knitting stitches most suitable for baby blankets. The blanket will be free of loose threads, buttons, yarns & large holes that can pose a safety risk for little ones. DECOR OPTIONS: Personalize your blanket with decorative trims along the two edges, including 1x1 rib (as shown on photo 6), twisted 1x1 rib (photo 7), or stripes in garter stitch (photo 8). Please specify your preference in the order notes. FIBER: 100 % extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns (Italy). YARN DETAILS: Our chunky yarn is 100% handmade. It is hand-spun from 100 % extra fine merino wool 18,5 microns from Italy. It is the best & premium merino quality in a market known for its extra softness & silkiness. Extra fine merino wool tops come from both Australia & South America to Italy & are carefully selected to ensure constant high quality. All lots are MULESING FREE. It is a single ply, popular roving type yarn with a slight twist. Merino yarn goes through all necessary stages from fiber preparation to a spinning on a spinning wheel & washing to make lightly felted. This helps to fix the form of the yarn & get smooth textured surface with a unique look & soft feel. It allows knitwear to be more practical, prevents pilling & shedding. CARE: Specialized dry cleaning once a season is recommended. Gentle hand wash (with a cool water, without any agitation, lay flat to dry) is also available for small size. But note that the garment will be very heavy to wash it by hands. Washing machine is also possible (using cold water only, delicate/wool cycle, without agitation, air dry only). But note that washing in a machine will make yarn thinner, harder to touch, some softness will be lost.
