It will show signs of wear & tear that comes with it's years spent on building sites... such as splits, dents or knots, nail holes, saw marks, staining & natural curves & bowing in the wood... Regardless of these distinctive marks from the wood's previous life, each piece of furniture is carefully made to assure a sound, solid & lasting piece of furniture. ABOUT THE WOOD - Legs The hand crafted Oak frame is made from Locally & Sustainably sourced, Prime European oak. Our European Prime Oak wood tops are hand made in UK from locally sourced solid European Oak Wood (full staves). Each stave is carefully selected to allow for minimum knots & colour variation to create a pristine & contemporary finish. Our Oak table tops are carefully finished to have a beautiful flow of natural grain through the length of the table. We smooth, then finish the surface with three coats of high grade & eco-friendly hard wax oil which make the table incredibly robust & durable. We hand make each table using the same joinery & surface treatment & carefully craft the furniture to assure that it's sound, solid & long-lasting & both beautiful & functional. FINISHES We sand the wood to create a functional smooth writing, dining, or seating surface whilst maintaining the original aged aesthetic. After a final fine sanding, we finish the wood with the best quality mix of natural oils, stains & waxes which protects & enhances the wood. This gives a durable & resistant finish to your furniture.
