Hand sewn cushion cover made from a piece of Morris & Co. heavy weight linen union. Based on an elaborately woven silk velvet brocade designed & produced by Morris in 1884 Granada incorporates pomegranate motifs & ornate trellis reminiscent of the mediaeval textiles which inspired the design. Today Granada is printed on a heavy textured linen to give an antiqued effect. ( quote from the Morris & Co website ) The cover is lined in a matching heavy linen & all the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength.
