Description

These pillows are soft sculpture art pieces, each one individually hand painted on silk, each a one of a kind piece. If you love ginkgo trees & their golden leaves you'll enjoy this whimsical hand painted pillow. I used permanent silk dyes to paint the silk crepe de chine in colors of gold, poppy, soft orange, yellow & spring green. I then quilted the silk onto batting using the trapunto technique of double stuffing veins & stems to make then stand out in relief. This is then sewn onto a hand dyed cotton backing & stuffed with fiberfil. Each pillow in my collection is uniquely different, just as there are no two leaves just alike. This pillow measures 23 inches long to end of stem & 22 inches wide & 7 inches thick. Each pillow is sold separately & has a separate listing.
