Liberty Sydney Mawson Melbury Arts & Craft, mid 70s, red, beige, brown & green cotton cushion cover, throw pillow cover, homeware decor Hand sewn cushion cover sewn from a piece of Liberty's Melbury cotton. This design was originally created by Sydney Mawson in the early 1900s. Mawson was influenced by the work of William Morris & this design is often mistakenly attributed to Morris as it is so similar to patterns like Kelmscott Tree. It is piped in a dark green cotton & lined in beige linen. All the seams have been double sewn & four stitched overlocked for strength. The cushion has a concealed zip beneath the piping on the reverse for ease of opening. Dry clean only. Want to sew your own cushions ?
