About handira blankets: these blankets are actually capes worn by a berber bride on her wedding day. They are handmade by the family of the bride & can take many weeks to complete. They are considered good luck & are a symbol of fertility, fortune & protection from evil forces. Made out of local wool & cotton they traditionally have fluffy fringes running through them & are often adorned with hundreds of sequins, all attached by hand. This cushion will be supplied unstuffed & has a zip fitted on one side to allow for filling.
