This is our very special solid brass stage footlight lamp perfect for opening night or a gift for a theatrical person in your life. One of our pictured lamps was an opening night gift for a cast member of the West End musical 'Bat out of Hell' which opened at the London Coliseum in 2017, the other a custom print lamp for a Theatre Manager. We are also made lamps for cast members of Les Miserables & Mary Poppins. We can design an image print, and/or we can print text on the front an actor name, character name, show title or song lyrics - it depends on how much space that we have. Please get in touch with the print media before ordering so that we can make sure that we can print clearly for you. Print is only available in black, we cannot print colour images as they don't transfer well. We can paint colours onto the timber. Discounts for bulk orders available, please get in touch for a quote. The timber will be lightly stained & finished with a matt varnish once the print has been transferred. The shell is solid brass with an antique finish. You choose the cable colour, black, blue, red, grey. To add that personal touch, & make it a gift to last a lifetime, we can print initials, dates & even show names directly onto the wood. The print is then hand finished & sealed with top quality hardwearing matt varnish. We make our lamps from reclaimed wood & so there may be slight variations in colour, detail & patina in the wood, therefore because of this each lamp is unique. Dimensions depend on the timber that we use but will be approximately 10cm x 10cm x 30cm The shell is 19.5cm x 15cm Once we know the print that you would like placing on the lamp base, we will work out the best size & confirm the dimensions & design with you. Please get in touch if you require a specific size. Our lamps are handmade in our Cockington Court Craft Centre Studio in Devon, UK. We welcome personal visits to choose the timber & decide upon the design with you. Each piece of wood that we use will differ slightly as it is reclaimed, but we make sure we choose the best pieces possible & really work on bringing out the natural beauty of the colour & grain FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q1: Our ceilings are low/we are not sure of headroom, how low does your light hang? We design the light to fit your space, so the overall hanging length is up to you & we will make it to your specifications. We can draw you a scale plan of your room so that you can better imagine the light in your space, we will just need few measurements from you to do so. Q2: I want only a little bit of space between the ceiling & the wooden part of my light, how close can you get to the ceiling whilst still using chains? The minimum distance that the light can hang from the ceiling, using chain & hooks, is 12cm. Q3: I have really high ceilings & need a long chain, how much is included in the base price? A distance of 50cm between the top of the timber & the ceiling is included in the price. If you need a longer distance please message first as there may be an extra charge. Similarly if you would like a very long drop of cable below the light please do message us first. We would be happy to do a detailed quote for you. Q4: Do you know the sizes of bulbs to take that into account when working out the maximum drop? Yes, we can advise on bulb sizes & will take them into account when designing your light, please let us know which bulbs you are planning on using. Q5: Do I have to use vintage bulbs? No, you can use any bulbs that you like. The bulb holders are E27/ES, a standard screw fit. Q6: Will the chandelier work with a dimmer switch? We highly recommend that you have a dimmer installed to get the full beauty from your light, particularly if you are to use vintage bulbs. Being able to dim the bulbs from 1% to 100% gives you the versatility of having a main light with lots of output for everyday tasks & then you are able to dial it down for ambience when desired. Please note that readily available domestic dimmers in high street stores are normally no more than 400W. Therefore if you have a light with more than 8 bulbs we recommend that you only use 40W bulbs & that you also have a 600W dimmer fitted, any more than 10 bulbs & using 60W bulbs please have a 1000W dimmer fitted. If in doubt please consult a qualified electrician. Q7: Why aren't bulbs included? The selection of bulbs available is vast & we want you to be able to choose your own look. Prices vary depending on
