This CD unit is made from solid wood which is a natural product & will have knots, scuffs, some splits & other imperfections which enhances its natural appearance. Note: Further slight splits may occur over time as the furniture settles into its new environment this just adds to the natural rustic look of the furniture & will not be considered as a defect.
