The name comes from its shape & milky colour of the glaze to resemble the moon. Beautiful, decorative ceramic, also ideal for ikebana flower arrangements. Wheel thrown in speckled stoneware ceramic with a matte surface finish. I am making new Moon jars regularly. All dimensions are indicated in Length x Width x Height. If a piece is cylindrical, the L x W is the diameter of the circle at the widest point.
