After the pieces were fired for the first time, I put them in a lidded ceramic vessel & covered them with sawdust, wires & other materials in order to create inside the vessel a localised reducing atmosphere. Then the vessel was carefully closed & fired again in the kiln. The results of saggar firing are unpredictable & sometimes surprising. No two pieces can be the same!
