The Lacuna Lamp is initially cast in gypsum & then carved by hand & sealed with linen oil and/or matt varnish. The inner part of the artwork is illuminated by a hidden, dimmable LED light. Color options are available upon request. The Lacuna Lamp is a part of a limited collection of unique handmade pieces creating contemporary collectible design. The presented objects are an attempt at dialogue between the essence of fine art & the functionality of design in order to create intimate objects that bring us closer to nature. Light is the most significant determinant of each lighting form. It builds the shape & shows what it will look like. Blaze coming from the object has the intention of gazing at it, calming it down, & giving the illusion of energy, like a fire or fireplace.
