Send me at least two photos of the person via Etsy chat, where they are clearly recognizable & have a neutral facial expression. Include their hair & eye color. I use the photos as a guide to capture the essential features of the person depicted & implement your wishes as closely as possible - but of course, in my own style. After the figure is complete, I'll send you a photo for your approval. The figure then dries for approximately two weeks. Afterward, I hand-paint it with an underglaze, some of which I mix myself. This is followed by the first firing at over 900 degrees Celsius, before I coat the figure with a transparent glaze & then fire it a second time at 1070 degrees Celsius. This process takes several weeks - with luck, the figure will be finished after four weeks, but with a higher workload or unexpected problems, it can take up to six weeks. Before I ship the figure, you'll receive a photo of the finished candle holder.
