Handmade in France, unique & numbered cyanotype!! The cyanotype process is a printing technique invented in 1842 that we wanted to bring up to date. We live in a digital age where we feel the need to connect with nature & craftsmanship using a natural light source: the sun! Our cyanotypes are made on high-quality Bristol board paper coated with a light-sensitive agent. The carefully selected subjects are exposed to sunlight on this paper. Rinsed with clean water, the process is stopped to reveal a vibrant Prussian blue print without any ink. Our cyanotypes are handmade & mounted in their natural wood frames with a copper signature. As each cyanotype is handcrafted, the shades of blue vary subtly, making each painting completely unique. Each piece is numbered.
