It provides lots of different textures & attachments to explore, providing stimulation helping to keep hands & minds busy. It has been shown that providing appropriate activities & stimulation for people with dementia helps to reduce agitation & anxiety & gives the person a sense of purpose. Repetitive movements, such as moving the silver runner up & down the ribbon provide satisfaction & contentment. What is included The cushion is constructed from vintage style floral/ garden fabrics which many older people will be familiar with & be comforted by. The embellishments are bright, attractive & fun! The fabrics may change slightly due to availability at the time of purchasing, however the overall theme & colour scheme will remain the same. The cushion is now available as a lap blanket (45cm x 45cm) in the same design. This maybe better suited to some people's needs & can be rolled up & carried around easily or easily folder away.
