I then press these botanicals until they are dried. I adhere them to custom stained & painted wooden plaques which are a rich brown wood with a gold frame. The herbarium label is typed on my vintage typewriter & affixed to the painting. I then seal the entire piece with a clear sealant to prolong the color of the botanicals & add a sawtooth hanger to the back. Oval frame measures 3 x 5 botanicals will eventually fade, as they are all natural plant material.
