I created these structural forms using different fibers & textile hand creating techniques, the main being punch needle rug hooking, but also weaving, embroidery & sewing. Though the take on the cherry blossom is rather abstract in this piece, one can clearly find a resemblence particularly in the color palette. Some areas may remind petals & leafs, but the overall composition in this modern tapestry leaves large field to one's own interpretation.
