This little bud vase is made especially for short stemmed flowers, such as pansy, violets, primroses, asters, crocuses, etc. My sweet kids are always bringing me lovely flowers with short little stems. These treasures need a special place to be displayed, hence the pansy pot. The small holes around the top are for additional flowers & add support to delicate stems. Add a few herbs to your bouquet for a fragrant natural room freshener. Great for those flowers you accidentally prune while tending your garden. It can also be used as a reed diffuser with essential oils, or to store fresh herbs in your fridge. Handmade & hand-painted in a sweet Forget-Me-Not pattern, a flower known for remembrance, & the state flower of Alaska. This is a great gift for a mom with young children, a wonderful hostess gift, or birthday gift for a friend. A little info about my process: Each pot goes through a many steps from start to finish, starting with getting thrown on a potter's wheel. The bottom is them trimmed & finished. Once it is fully dry it is fired the first time to approximately 1800 degrees. It is then meticulously painted with underglazes, a clear glaze is applied, & the pot is then fired to approximately 2165 degrees.
