Botanical Artist, Kate Churchwell, has used the real plants found growing naturally in the Bay of Le Mont St Michel, to help create this detailed plaque. Using wet clay to create the original mould, she has hand sculpted, in reverse, Le Mont St Michel. Plaster is then poured into the mould & once set, the clay is peel away to reveal the bas relief. The clay mould is then discarded. A further mould of the original cast is then created so that limited editions can be created.
