Hand painted by me, this coolie shade is inspired by the beautifully eclectic interiors of the Bloomsbury group, such as Charleston Farmhouse, home of Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant. The shape of the shade is a coolie style suitable for pendant or lamp base fittings. The shade is also adjustable allowing you to tilt the shade to read or work by. This design, 'daisy' is inspired by the paintings of Duncan Grant & Vanessa Bell, partners & pioneers of the Bloomsbury style. The shade is painted using colourfast fabric paint which gives a cosy ambience to blend with most interiors when lit. The 'mars black' scumble painted base gives a more subtle, low lit atmosphere when lit. The yellow daisies in the brandy grass shaped vase are painted with subtle natural greens & creamy yellows with tiny touches of dusky pink. There is a slightly stripey olive green top & bottom border. The shade comes in three sizes. The one shown is a 25cm base width - at 55 & is 17cm high & 10cm top diameter There are two other sizes available a 30cm base - at 68 with a height of 19cm & a top diameter of 10cm The largest size is a 40cm base width at 85. Please ensure separately about this larger size.
