Ceramic Ammonite Fossil Wall Decoration

Each ceramic, stoneware, botanical wall decoration is hand-crafted separately in my garden studio. This beautiful piece of wall art is perfect for adding an artisanal accent to your home. An ammonite is an extinct marine creature that lived during the Triassic, Jurassic & Cretaceous periods. They are known for their distinctive coiled, chambered shells & related to modern-day squids & octopuses. This mystical fossil stone has an affinity with the element of water & is linked to moon energy. It is thought to promote fluidity, emotional harmony & flow in one's life. It was also considered sacred & used in Indigenous tribes in North America to bring good fortune. They were cherished as powerful symbols of abundance & protection. The nature inspired decorative design is created by pressing soft clay into an amonite sprig that I made previously & then placed on a small clay tile. The edges are deliberately uneven to eccentuate its handmade charm. Once fired I paint it with a dark teal underglaze & wipe it off to reveal the delicate textures of the fossel. It is then dipped into a transparent glaze & fired again. A piece of twine is then finally added. Approximate size: Height 6.5cm x 4.5cm All my ceramic work is handmade & variation pattern placement may occur due to the uniqueness of the processes involved. The wall decoration you will purchase will not be the exact one in the photo as every item is handmade thus utterly unique.
