The Pillow Case - Made from from traditional Afghan kilim carpets, these cushion covers were woven using Afghan wool. - Traditional weaving techniques were used to make the original carpets. - Red, purple & orange colours depending on light. Kilims are made on a loom rather than knotted by hand. Rug weaving has always been an essential part of Afghan culture, with kilim carpets often recognisable from their geometric designs. - Many of the dyes are made from soft vegetables, such as apricots, mulberries, onion skins, olives, turmeric, & madder root amongst others. - Due to being hand made, there might be some imperfections & sizing differences.
