Hand painted silk in serti technique (cold batik). The silk painting are steam fixed for permanent colors, water & light resistancy. I use steam-fixed liquid dyes for silk painting to keep the 'hand' of the silk fiber unchanged. Silk maintains it's natural silkiness, leave no 'feel' on the silk, (you don't feel anything different where the dye is). (I do not use paints, like acrylic, where pigments suspended in a medium; when applied, they sit on top of the fibers, & as a result, they do change the feel of the fiber, the silk will lose some of its silkiness with paints). My preferred paints also allows to achieve excellent color transitions, gradations of color density, perfect mixing & diversity of colors. The painting will be shipped without frame. I recommend framing the painting in an additional sophisticated frame if that blends well into your interior. This would complement the silk of the painting perfectly.
